ABOUT URINARY INCONTINENCE

Urinary incontinence is a frustrating condition that can interfere with your daily activities and quality of life. Symptoms include frequent urination, bladder leaks with activities such as jumping and running, painful urination, and increased bladder urgency (ie. inability to hold it). There are many types of urinary incontinence including stress incontinence, urgency, overactive bladder, etc. There are also many causes of incontinence including pelvic floor dysfunction and prolapse. Our pelvic health physiotherapist is trained to assess your incontinence, help you determine the possible cause, and create a custom treatment plan to address your symptoms and concerns including medical referral if needed.
