WORKERS COMPENSATION BOARD (WCB)
Have you been injured during work?
Your first assessment and treatment are ALWAYS covered by the Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
- Make sure you report your injury to your workplace (Worker’s Report of Injury). Both you and your employer are required to complete and submit WCB Reports.
- You can easily submit your Worker’s Report of Injury online at www.wcb.ab.ca
- You may choose whether you would prefer a Physiotherapist or a Chiropractor to manage your injuries
- Following your first visit, your practitioner will submit a comprehensive report to WCB outlining your injuries and limitations. Once your claim is authorized, your therapist will let you know how many treatments are approved and WCB will cover the treatment costs.
- WCB will also cover the costs of exercise equipment or supports your therapist recommends
