GOLFER'S ELBOW (MEDIAL EPICONDYLITIS)

ABOUT GOLFER'S ELBOW (MEDIAL EPICONDYLITIS)

Golfer’s elbow is a tendonitis injury of the forearm that involves the flexor tendons or the muscles that contribute to grasping tasks. These injuries usually occur from overload or repetitive use. Wear and tear of these tendons can cause degeneration of the tissue or “micro-tears”. Symptoms include pain when gripping or twisting, weakness of the hand, and numbness or tingling in the hand (pinky finger and ring finger). This condition should also include a scan of your neck to ensure the pain is not stemming from your neck. Your therapist will assess the condition of your neck and elbow and create a custom treatment plan to get you back to health.
